The seminar will explore the assets and asset management and governance issues of German foundations against the background of a survey of the 200 largest German foundations. We particularly asked for restrictions in the asset management of the foundations and for governance and management approaches to asset management. The seminar will include looking at the German industrial foundations, even if their total asset base remains to be established and is difficult to assess due to a lack of standard accounting principles for German foundations.
