CBS in June

Summer is just around the corner, but you still have the opportunity to participate in some exciting events at CBS. For example attend the AQR Top Finance Graduate Award ceremony, which recognises the most promising PhD students in finance. Meet CBS at the 2019 People’s Meeting

Thursday 13 June to Sunday 16 June 2019, Kirkegade 4, 3770 Allinge, Bornholm 

Join in as CBS helps put issues relevant to society on the agenda at various event at the 2019 People’s Meeting again this year. For instance, CBS President Nikolaj Malchow-Møller will discuss societal dilemmas with Mads Steffensen, while CBS Professor Sara Louise Muhr will examine the issue of equality in the workplace and what is required to get more women in management.

Join us when the Royal Danish Academy of Science and Letters awards the most promising PhD students in finance in 2019 with the AQR Top Finance Graduate Award for their research. 

You will have the opportunity to hear the winners present their research on topics that can have a major impact on future financial practice.

Photo exhibition - "European Diversity in Denmark"

You’re invited to attend the "European Diversity in Denmark" photo exhibition, co-organised by CBS Council for Diversity and Inclusion and the Romanian Embassy. 

Embracing diversity is one of the basic pillars of democratic societies, and a core value of the European system. CBS Professor Susana Borras is the photographer and her photos aim to open our eyes to the positive side of Europeans living in Denmark. The exhibition contains 27 portraits, each one corresponding to a person born in another EU country. 

Their fascinating life stories tell us about courage and adaptation; and above all, about their willingness to be an active part of Denmark. To make a positive contribution.

Erin Leitheiser: The comparative dynamics of private governance: The case of the Bangladesh ready-made garment industry

Lone Christensen: Strategiimplementering - Styringsbestræbelser, identitet og affekt

Based on ethnographic fieldwork, this PhD thesis is based on the collapse of collaboration between a team of external consultants and the executive board in a Danish ministry on the implementation of the ministry’s new strategy.
