The book launch is to celebrate the publication of the book

'Navigating Corporate Cultures From Within:
Making Sense of Corporate Values Seen From an Employee Perspective'


‘The present study takes a closer look at the dynamic processes of organizational renewal in a complex multinational organization with a particular focus on the way in which the individual employee perceive such processes. The main hypothesis is that an organization can be conceived of as a contested field of narratives that are designed by management and employees respectively. Those narratives have to be aligned otherwise the organization per se is in danger of becoming dysfunctional. A key premise in this book is how employees perceive and make sense of corporate norms and values in a complex multinational organization. One of the findings in this context is that the process of sense making is essential for an organization’s ability to respond effectively to an ever-changing business environment thereby increasing the agility of the entire organization, a development that some groups of employees find challenging.’


The authors will give a short presentation of their book,
followed by a Q&A with the audience. A glass of bubbles and a light snack will be served.
