cbsCSR Brown Bag Seminar

cbsCSR's Brown Bag seminar series are happy to present Robert Strand, who will speak about “Corporate Social Responsibility: A View From The Top Management Team” on the 13th of April 2010.

Tirsdag, 13 april, 2010 - 12:00 to 13:00

Among corporate social responsibility (CSR) leading companies, the top management team (TMT) can often include a member not typically associated within the traditional C-suite: a TMT member with designated CSR responsibilities. This article explores how this CSR TMT member influences other TMT members and the employees of the company to support CSR.

The in-progress study presented in this article, which draws from leading CSR corporations in Scandinavia, suggests that TMT member with designated CSR responsibilities influence their organizations by seeking critical input, achieving personal credibility within the TMT, achieving buy-in for CSR initiatives within the TMT, setting concrete targets for CSR initiatives based on a business case, and assigning employee ownership for the CSR initiatives.
