On January 1st, 2007 Professor Majken Schultz began as Associate Dean of CBS’ international full-time MBA. Her focus will be to strengthen business relationships and ensure a high level of international collaboration, as well as improving options for MBA graduates wanting to remain in Denmark upon finishing their education.

Brain drain to Denmark

“As Associate Dean I have the responsibility for the academic part of a full-time MBA and I look forward to collaborating with Danish as well as international teachers and colleagues at CBS Executive. In my new role I also hope to be able to strengthen relations and collaborations between CBS, industry and the students. More than ever Danish industry needs well-educated, international employees and it turns out that the majority of graduated MBA candidates would like to work in Denmark. For a change, the brain drain is turning and Denmark should take advantage of this situation.” Professor Majken Schultz says.

Full-time MBA is a success

CBS is the only provider of a full-time MBA in Denmark and the program is now in its 4th year. Apart from state-of-the- art standard MBA subjects, the managerial skills of the participants will be strengthened, emphasizing innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.

“The appointment of Majken Schultz as Associate Dean will give our program yet another lift both nationally and internationally, being that Majken has a strong brand and a lot to offer due to her academic work and her network of contacts. Our vision with this education is to attract great brains to this country and, Denmark having one of the strongest economies in the world, we have a lot to offer to talented young people from all over the world. Just as they have much to offer Danish industry once they finish their education with CBS”, Charlotte Ely Andersen, Director of MBA programs at CBS, states.

Majken Schultz has primarily worked at CBS with the identity, image and corporate branding of companies and has been in charge of several big research projects within these areas. Majken Schultz is Director of Reputation Institute in Denmark, she is also on the Board of Danske Bank, COWI and Fonden Realdania, and is a regular contributor to the daily financial paper, Børsen. Majken Schultz has taught at CBS’ MBA program since the beginning and will continue to teach classes in the full-time MBA curriculum.
