CBS researchers win EER Best Paper Prize 2014

CBS Professors Morten Lau (Department of Economics) and Steffen Andersen (Department of Finance) with colleagues Glenn Harrison and Elisabet Rutström, both at Georgia State University have won the prestigious EER Best Paper Prize 2014. The paper “Discounting Behavior: A Reconsideration” which was published in European Economic Review  re-evaluates the theory, experimental design and econometrics behind claims that individuals exhibit non-constant discounting behavior. Using data collected from a representative sample of 413 adult Danes in 2009, they draw surprising conclusions.
