Grade point averages for 2007

Despite a larger incoming class the average required for admittance to CBS is still a pretty high at most programmes.

- Although we have more spaces available at quota 1 our averages are still pretty high. We are very happy about this. Partly because it shows a large interest in our programmes, but also because I believe that the students in most cases are much more motivated when they haven’t just chosen the education because it is easy to get into, says Director of Programme Administration Services, Annette Juhl Hansen.

Where are the available spaces?

She is not expecting CBS to accept many more students after July 28th.

- Traditionally we have had to reject people in the business economics programmes and it does not help the rejected students that there are available spaces in the business language programme. Instead they move geographically and try to get into a business economics programme elsewhere, says Annette Juhl Hansen.

The business economics programme HA (pol.) requires a grade point average of 9.5 (on the 7 step scale) and is thus almost the same grade point average that was needed when the education was new in 2005, and only had half as many spaces.

Remember 9 is equal to 8.2

This years grade point averages are on the new 7-step scale, but a large part of the applicants have been given grades from the 13 step scale. Annette Juhl Hansen encourages applicants to remember to redo their grades according to the new scale before comparing their grades with the averages needed.
