Schneider Electric challenges current MBAs with a case competition

Schneider Electric welcomes the current class

On 24 May 2016, Schneider Electric opened their office doors in Ballerup to welcome the current Copenhagen MBA class. With a corporate strategy that puts sustainability at the very core, the majority of the class jumped at the chance to get to know the company better and find out what it might be like to work there post-graduation.

Mike Doucleff, VP of Business Development and Hanne Taarup, VP of Human Resources, acted as hosts and shared the Schneider Electric’s story. After the introduction, MBA students were given a chance to shine in a brief case competition. This practical agenda addition was appreciated by many of the attending MBAs.

“Having a spontaneous competition was a real opportunity to assess how we work in a new team environment and test our improvising skills,” said attending MBA student Gerardo Reyna Sacramento.

Also present was Anca Galinescu, Business Development Manager, and a 2014 Copenhagen MBA alumna. She relayed her post-MBA journey and shared her insider’s tale of what it’s like to work for Schneider Electric, alongside Mike Doucleff and Hanne Taarup.

“I particularly appreciated the fact that two of our hosts, Mike Doucleff and Anca Galinescu, both held MBAs. This meant that they were well aware of what we could potentially offer a team in terms of knowledge and skillset,” added Gerardo Reya Sacramento.”

The afternoon culminated in networking drinks and dinner, providing an additional opportunity for students to mingle with key staff members under relaxed circumstances.
