EGB joins forces with researchers from the University of Aalborg, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Jiaotong University, and Tsinghua University to implement a research project entitled “Artificial Intelligence in China – data, methods and sector applications”. The project is supported by the Sino-Danish Center, which is a partnership between all eight Danish universities, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). The project aims at understanding the dynamics and effects of AI diffusion in China. In particular, the team aims at (1) improving the availability of data for empirical research and indicator development; (2) advancing the use of state-of-the-art Machine Learning and AI techniques to map the Chinese AI ecosystem; (3) exploring the application of AI in road transport; and (4) improving our knowledge of Chinese innovation policies related to AI governance, as well as the role played by private sector enterprises in establishing AI ecosystems.
