Lisbeth Clausen, Associate Professor at the Department of Management, Society and Communication has been appointed Senior Fellow at The British Higher Education Academy (HEA).

The British Higher Education Academy (HEA) is an accreditation body with an internationally acclaimed framework for benchmarking success within higher education teaching. While it emerged in a UK context, it is currently spreading to universities worldwide and awards accreditation of quality within one of the four categories of HEA Fellowship; Associate Fellowship, Fellowship, Senior Fellowship or Principal Fellowship.

The status of HEA Senior Fellow is highly prestigious. There are at present 126,770 fellows (worldwide across the above four

categories). Approximately 10 percent of these fellows are accredited at Senior Fellow level. 15 are currently based in Danish institutions (all at CBS). The Senior Fellowship is awarded to professionals who meet the criteria of Descriptor 3 (D3) of the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.

Having staff members with a SFHEA certification at CBS implies having certified role models at senior level who commit not only to developing own teaching practice but also the teaching practice of other faculty members. This certification highlights a way to recognize success within higher education teaching and learning support.

Lisbeth Clausen has assessed and supervised more than 30 Assistant Professors in the three-year teachers’ qualification program. She has also taught hundreds of onboarding faculty in the two-day Learning to Teach pedagogics courses.
