Building Organizational Capacity in Denmark

Opportunities, Confusions, Values and Reflections of working with Indian managers, employees, partners and distributors

 

Aim

This One-Day Program is designed to help Danish companies already established in India or working with Indian partners or those considering investing in India in building organizational capacity to be aware of the similarities and differences between Indian and Danish management attitudes, approaches,  habits and systems, values embedded in the organization and their management style.

 

Target Group

The program is for:

  • Danish CEO/Managers who are interacting with their Indian subsidiary, partners, distributors or employees
  • CEO/Mangers who are considering to start-up their business in India  

 

Learning Objective

  • For a better understanding of the differences between the Management practices in India and Denmark
  • Learning to bridge the differences between Danish and Indian Management style
  • Learn and understand each other’s different decision making processes
  • Understanding Indian and Danish leadership styles
  • Learn about work ethics in India
  • Be exposed to problem solving techniques
  • Learn the different negotiation styles
  • Be exposed to the Cultural aspects of Indian law and how to work with it

 

Method of Teaching

A very large part of this program will be delivered in workshop/seminar mode.
There would be short lectures to set the scene for the workshop.
The workshop will have group work, discussion, presentation and summing up.  

 

Reading Material

The course will prescribe two readings per module wherever required. One of the two would be a case study of Danish/Nordic companies working in India. The other would be a research paper drawn from a research journal. All participants will be expected to read all materials prescribed before the start of the course. The readings will be provided in digital form in advance of the initiation of the course and will also be provided in a folder form at the registration desk on the day the program commences.
