Cass R. Sunstein, Professor at Harvard Law SchoolDEMOCRACY AND FREE SPEECH IN THE AGE OF THE INTERNET

– Cass Sunstein to speak in Copenhagen on the 18th of May.

How can liberal democratic societies thrive in this new era of echo chambers and rising polarisation? What frame of online discourse would be most fertile for a sound democratic discussion? These are some of the interesting subjects that we will face when one of the most known and knowledgeable legal minds alive take the floor.

On the 18th of May, Cass R. Sunstein, Professor at Harvard Law School will share his thoughts about the structure of online communities’ influence on modern liberal democracies, as presented in his book #Republic (2017).

To set the scene, we have invited Ida Auken (MP) to open our minds to how the Age of the Internet influences Danish politics. Finding the right path for democracy and free speech is an issue that requires our attention. You are guaranteed to leave with a new perspective on your online life.
