Presentation and academic fields

My primary occupation is directing Urgent.Agency - a culture design agency combining culture analysis, placemaking and brand identity. We work with a variety of cities, organizations and companies in Denmark and abroad. I work with an outset in cultural analysis and phenomenology with issues related to design, innovation, workplace strategies and urban planning

I teach the course “Design Thinking and Concept Development” at HA(fil.) The course focuses on introducing the students to the world of "design thinking” - and giving the students a first-hand experience with the practices and methods related to the field of design. At the core of the course is a combination of thorough cultural analysis and concept development. The course is centered around a case developed in collaboration with an external client. Clients have included Carlsberg, Politiken and Nordic Choice Hotels.

I also supervise in projects related to design, urban planning, culture theory and innovation. I have a strong interest in the intricate relations between space, people and the constitution of meaning. How do different types of spatial and social designs affect people? How do you design with an understanding of “atmospheres”? How does social and spatial organisation come together? And finally: how can tools from culture theory and design be combined in order to create and evaluate new ideas and solutions?
