IT challenges in Mergers and Acquisitions (IT challenges in Mergers and Acquisitions)

Abstract:

The proposed 7-month research stay at University of Melbourne (UM) will continue and expand the ongoing work on IT challenges in corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&As) with professor Graeme Shanks, UM, and professor Philip Yetton , University of New South Wales (UNSW). The stay forms part of a larger research initiative on IT in M&As that, besides Copenhagen Business School, includes researchers from LSE in London, TUM in Munich, UNSW, and UM. The research stay has two principle purposes. First, to progress collaborative analysis of the empirical data and crafting of research papers based on the studies. The goal is set at four journal article submissions during the stay. Second, the visit will expand, empirically and theoretically, the research by involvement in UM’s ongoing project ”The Impact of Strategy on Business Analytics Success” with a line of research on the IT integration decision making in M&As.
