The Uses and Abuses of Kierkegaard. Lessons for Integrating Humanities in Future Business Education

To celebrate the bicentenary of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard Copenhagen Business School´s (CBS) Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy (MPP) hereby invites to a conference Oct 16-19 2013 on The Uses and Abuses of Kierkegaard. Lessons for Integrating Humanities in Future Business Education

Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 09:00 to Saturday, October 19, 2013 - 16:00

MPP is a unique Business University department housing philosophers with a long experience of integrating philosophy into the studies of business and organization. Therefore we are glad to announce this event whereby CBS explicitly celebrates Kierkegaard by gathering scholars exploring how far his philosophy can be "stretched" into new areas as e.g. Management and Business Studies.

We thus hope to inspire both those studying the reception of the great philosopher and those who, inspired by the recent Carnegie Report on the "future of business education", seek ways to cross-fertilize business studies with philosophy, the humanities and liberal arts.
A detailed program is attached and also the form for registration to attend the conference.
