Seminar with Professor Victoria Hui, University of Notre Dame, arranged by the Asia Research Centre; CBP International Centre for Business and Politics and NIAS.

Dr. Victoria Hui is Assistant Professor at the University of Notre Dame. She has published a number of important works, in particular War and State Formation in Ancient China and Early Modern Europe (Cambridge University Press), which earned her the Jervis-Schroeder award for best book in International History and Politics. Her research examines the dynamics of international politics, the origins of constitutional democracy, and the development of trade and capitalism in the broad sweeps of history, with a special focus on classical China and modern Europe.
