Preparing for the Next Influenza Pandemic

Arranged by CBS Executive

Monday, December 4, 2006 - 16:00 to 17:30

Seminar arranged by CBS Executive.

A question of leadership not only for your nation, but for your company as well.

The World Bank estimates that a severe bird flu pandemic could cost the global economy up to 2 trillion dollars and is just as real today as it was a year ago, even though the headlines are not as frequent or as scary!

Roche is deeply involved with the "Bird Flu" pandemic threat as it manufactures TAMIFLU, currently the mainstay of treatment for avian flu. Roche has developed a corporate pandemic strategy as well as working with governments to stockpile TAMIFLU to protect essential workers in the economy.

Robin Turner, General Manager at Roche in Denmark was extensively involved with the pandemic strategy in his last role at headquarters. He will share his experiences and demonstrate why every company needs to carefully consider its preparedness for the next pandemic.

Robin holds Australian and British passports and has worked in Denmark, Switzerland, Australia, Indonesia and UK in different positions as Product Manager, Head of Division, various Headquarter functions and Country Manager.

He holds a B.Sc. from University College of London and several degree courses from INSEAD, IMD and the London Business School.

Robin Turner is a great developer and trainer of younger managers. During his tenure in Australia he was frequently used for international training assignments.
