Idea Protection

Seminar arranged by Venture Cup

Tuesday, January 30, 2007 - 17:30 to 20:00

Seminar arranged by Venture Cup.

A strong patent portfolio is the backbone of most innovative start up companies. Most entrepreneurs are aware of the essentiality of patents in connection with the process of obtaining funding from venture capitalists. However, only few entrepreneurs are aware of how much value can be added to the company by defining and pursuing an effective patent strategy at a very early stage. Furthermore, entrepreneurs within the field of IT often fail to pursue patent protection for their innovation thus missing out on valuable business opportunities.

This seminar focuses on how entrepreneurs can maximize the value and the potential of their company through Intellectual Property Rights (patents, trademarks, domain names, etc.). Following a short break, participants will be given the chance to participate in small workgroups where they can ask questions around a specific topic and discuss the points further with an intellectual property consultant from Plougmann & Vingtoft. Plougmann & Vingtoft recently became a partner of Venture Cup.

Food and drinks will be served during the event.
