HRM and Knowledge-Related Performance: the nature, the outcomes and the linkages
Much has been written about the links between HRM and organizational performance. A recent focus is on strategic HRM practices and their impact on knowledge processes. The basic premise is that organizations adopting particular HRM practices should expect superior knowledge-related performance (such as knowledge acquisition in Lyles and Salk, 1996; new product development, Hansen, 1999, absorptive capacity in Minbaeva et al, 2003; innovation in Laursen and Foss, 2003).
