Copenhagen Conference on Strategic Management - CCSM 2006

The Center for Strategic Management and Globalization is hosting the second annual CCSM 2006.

This corporate event is targeted towards managers in the Danish and international business community. Internationally renowned strategy researchers and experienced corporate executives will discuss important topics like "Strategic Renewal", "The New Generation of Global Leaders", and "Brand Revitalization".

The speakers:

Jay B. Barney is Professor at Ohio State University and main founder of the resource-based view in strategic management. Jay Barney will discuss how this view can help corporations develop sustainable strategies in a changing world.

Jørgen Vig Knudstorp is the well known turnaround leader in the Danish LEGO concern. Jørgen Vig Knudstorp will talk about the challenges LEGO faced during its recent strategic reorganization.

Peter Lorange, IMD President with a background at Harvard Business School and Wharton. Peter Lorange will give his thoughts on multinational management in dynamic global markets.

José Santos is Adjunct Professor at INSEAD and former CEO of a multinational corporation. Based on his own executive experience, José Santos will discuss the challenges in international strategy development.

The presentations will be followed by Q & A sessions where participants can discuss their practical experiences with these strategy experts. The event will conclude with a "Power Lunch" featuring U.S. Ambassador James P. Cain.
