Presentation

Graduating in Economics and Social Studies from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in Political Theory from the London School of Economics - the two split by a brief foray into commercial law - I have enjoyed a serpentine academic career in Departments of Politics, Philosophy and Business and Management. Throughout I have been studied the creation of organizational form, as an aesthetic and ethical as well as commercial phenomenon. Riffing off this work have been research projects on: the fashion business; craft work; historical cases of entrepreneurship; using art-work in business education; process philosophy; and technology and media studies. I am a long-standing member of the European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS), and was editor of its journal Organization Studies 2013-2017.

Primary research areas
  • Strategy and organization
