Presentation

Language policy is an extremely important topic worldwide. Although I am retired, I am still professionally active. I have strong links to colleagues worldwide, many of whom are critical scholars working for greater social justice in education and the wider society, national and international. In 2012 I was invited to lecture in Australia, Indonesia, Korea, Mauritius, Portugal, South Africa, Turkey, and the UK. I act as an expert assessing EU funding applications and how projects progress. Influencing the Danish government to take language policy seriously has always been uphill and is a continuing challenge. My books on various aspects of language policy have been published in eleven countries. I also regularly publish articles and book reviews. In 2010 I was awarded the UNESCO Linguapax prize.
