Partnerships
With an aim of continuously providing world class research and education, CBS Maritime is working closely together with leading research and educational institutions. Current strategic partnerships include:
- Singapore Management University (SMU). In Februar 2014 CBS signed a partnership agreement with SMU in which the two universities join forces to collaborate on the development of their respective maritime programs.
- Texas A&M University Galveston (TAMUG)
- Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
- University of British Columbia, Vancouver (UBC)
Advisory Board
The advisory board reflects the international and interdisciplinary scope of research and teaching carried out in connection to CBS Maritime and has representatives from the maritime sector as well as from academia. The advisory board meets with participants on a regular basis to discuss and motivate ongoing maritime research and teaching, assess new ideas and observe the progress and results of the maritime activities at CBS so as to continuously improve quality.

Research and Development Consortia
Together with partners, CBS Maritime takes part in research and development consortias. The aim is to bring research based value to the maritime industry context. Recent partherships include:
- The Danish Maritime Cluster Project. The aim of the project is to highten the level of competence in the maritime business sector. The activities of the project will contribute to maintaining positive growth, as well as securing maritime jobs, regionally and nationally. These factors will improve the ability of the Danish maritime cluster to compete in the international markets. Project period: November 2011 to November 2014.
- The Transport Innovation Network. The Transport Innovation Network (TINV) is a national, cross disciplinary network aimed at the Danish Transport sector. The primary objectives of TINV are to create synergy, encourage match-making and generate research and development projects between stakeholders in the transport sector and research and educational institutions, as well as related sectors such as energy and infrastructure. Projectperiode: 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2018.
CBS Shipping Students
CBS Shipping is a student network established with the aim of bringing CBS students closer to the global maritime industry. It is a student initiative to increase the interest and knowledge about the global shipping industry in primarily the Nordic region. The network publishes a monthly newsletter and hosts shipping-related events and thus shares knowledge about the global maritime industry.
