With a two-year impact factor of 8.025 (2021) and a rating of 4 in the British Academic Journal Guide (CABS/AJG), JSCM is one of the most important academic business journals in the world and considered by many as the leading supply chain management journal.

In view of current disruptions in global supply chains (e.g., chip crisis), the implications of supply chains for the climate and biodiversity discourse, new supply chain laws to increase social responsibility, and technological innovations (e.g., blockchain), supply chain management has become an imperative for global business.

“I am very honoured to have been selected as one of the co-editors-in-chief of Journal of Supply Chain Management. Supply chain management is now on everyone’s lips and on every agenda. Our global economic system is facing an unprecedented transformation and supply chains play a key role in this journey. Our discipline must live up to this responsibility and I will try to do my part,” says Wieland.
