PhDs pitch their research and compete for a prize

Are PhD students able to pitch their research in three minutes? A selection of PhD students from CBS will deliver a bouillon cube of their research at the event PhD Pitch 2017. A jury consisting of Danish CEOs will decide who is going to win a research grant worth DKK 20,000.

 

Big Data reveals fake news effect on political campaigning

What was the role of fake news on Facebook and Twitter at the American presidential election in USA? Ravi Vatrapu, Professor and Director of the Center for Business Data Analytics at CBS, will talk about fake news based on his comprehensive Big Data study of the campaigns of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton during the presidential election in 2016. Frederiksberg Science City has launched FRB Talks, a series of lectures which disseminate the knowledge and research that exist at Frederiksberg.

 

Students, win a day with a CEO

32 CBS students compete to become the ultimate leader at the event Business Battlefield. The prize is, among other things, a day together with Anders Dons, CEO of Deloitte Danmark. The competitors will have to master four categories:  Logical Reasoning, Collaboration, Negotiation and Pitching. During the day, the audience can meet different representatives from the business community. The event is organised by CBS Case Competition to celebrate 100 years of training leaders at CBS.

 

Conference focuses on competitiveness

The recurring event Competitiveness Day is a bazaar of competition-related activities. During the day, new research will be presented on how to outscore your competitors through better service, Big Data for the future make-over of HR staff and how social media can create value as a means of internal communication.

 

CBS Impact Day gathers CEOs, politicians and researchers

Is the Danish society and business community standing on a burning platform? If not, why are we constantly talking about disruption in terms of digitalisation, sharing economy and globalisation? Together with the Confederation of Danish Industry and four of the largest companies in Denmark - Novo Nordisk, A.P. Møller-Mærsk, Arla Foods and Danske Bank - CBS invites to CBS Impact Day. The ambition is to communicate relations, knowledge, positions and possibilities between research and practice, students and CEOs, business and politics. The day will also mark the end of CBS' centenary.
