- Challenges and Opportunities for Doing Business

Seminar with visiting Professor at Asia Research Centre, professor Jai B. P. Sinha.

Indian culture is relatively more complex than many other cultures. Immigrations, invasions, colonial rule, and globalization of economy have brought in streams of alien influences, only parts of which are integrated leaving others to coexit with the primordial Hindu worldviews. The resultant composite Indian culture consists of layers of diverse sub-cultures having inconsistent and incongruent values, beliefs, and action orientations. Indians have acquired radar like sensitivity to different contexts and to act differently with different people and on different occasions. The seminar will focus on Indians’ capability to shift their cultural frame which posess challenges to outsiders and the understanding of which will turn into opportunities for doing business in india.
