Copenhagen Business School

Copenhagen Business School, often referred to as CBS, is one of Denmark's eight public universities. With our Triple Crown accreditation and 300+ partner universities from more than 50 countries, CBS is among the best and most international business schools in Europe.

CBS was founded in 1917 and is located in the heart of Copenhagen. CBS has more than 21,000 students, with many different nationalities. Every year, we welcome a large number of students from all around the world, including around 1,200 full-degree students to our bachelor and graduate programmes and more than 1,000 exchange students. Over 40 nationalities are represented by both students and faculty, making it an international learning environment.

Accreditations and rankings

To ensure global recognition of your education from CBS, it is important to consider accreditations. The most sought after accreditation by business schools is the Triple Crown, which is held by only one percent of business schools world wide. CBS has held The Triple Crown accreditation since 2011. CBS is also a CEMS partner as well as a Double Degree partner with other leading business schools in the world. 

Each year, universities are ranked based on a number of different criteria. In 2022, CBS was ranked as no. 26 among European Business Schools by Financial Times. 

In addition to CBS being ranked, our programmes are also ranked against other international universities. In 2023, our CEMS Master in International Management was ranked as no. 12 by QS 2023 Masters in Management Rankings, and in 2020, our Executive MBA was ranked as no. 30 in Europe by Financial Times.

Campus

CBS is located in Frederiksberg, which is part of central Copenhagen. CBS is an urban campus that is closely connected by public transportation, with shopping malls, gardens, coffee shops and outdoor living space. 

The main campus building is called Solbjerg Plads, and other campus buildings are all within walking distance from this. The buildings are also well connected by the Copenhagen Metro as well as several bike and walk paths.
