- CBS Sustainability

I am Assistant Professor and postdoc researcher in the Department of Management, Society and Communications at CBS, focusing on the development of sustainability in the building sector. My current project is an industrial postdoctoral fellowship with VELUX, CBS, and BLOXHUB on the topic of "Smart Buildings and Cities Business Model Innovation." It is supported by Innovationsfonden and Realdania. This project involves applied research into the innovation process for building organizations to adapt their business models to the increasing digitization and automation of buildings, with a focus on sustainability and user-centered design. It is enacted as part of the Science Forum at BLOXHUB, the building innovation center, and the Governing Responsible Business Research Environment at CBS (the former platform concluded in June 2019).
Directions and areas of interest for the research include, but are not limited to: ecosystem perspectives on business model innovation; circular economy and digital tools for the sustainable use of buildings; and the Sustainable Development goals as drivers of strategic business model innovation.
My background is highly interdisciplinary, including such areas as international policy, ecological economics, environmental science, green engineering, and ecosystem biology, and I find these subjects to greatly enrich sustainability and organizational research.
