More study places – CBS welcomes 2,860 new students

The number of study places has increased, but unfortunately a lot of applicants for CBS' bachelor programmes are still going to receive a rejection letter today.

Many applicants – no compromise in quality

The Director of Programme Administration Services Annette Juhl Hansen ensures that CBS have done everything they possibly can to offer a study place to as many applicants as feasible. 5,913 people have applied for one of the 2,860 study places, which means that approximately every second applicant will receive a rejection letter.

- We are not happy about rejecting as many applicants as we have, but we simply cannot admit more students without compromising on the quality of our degree programmes, says Annette Juhl Hansen.

Research-based education

CBS has increased the number of study places by 150, and the limit has been reached.

- The degree programmes at CBS must still be research-based, and within certain academic fields our research resources cannot match an increased student intake, says Annette Juhl Hansen.

Highest grades required

Again this year, BSc in International Business and BSc in International Business and Politics demand the highest grade point average. The entry requirements are 10.8 and 10.3, respectively, compared to 10.9 and 10.3 last year.

Some degree programmes have lower entry requirements than in 2009, which is due to more study places or fewer applicants.

There are no available study places at CBS.
