13 Danish companies are on the list of the best workplaces in Europe 2007

Danish companies are among Europe's best if you ask the employees. A total of 13 Danish companies are among the list of the top 100. Only Germany surpasses Denmark.

The positive results are not a surprise for CBS Professor Povl Erik Jensen. According to him, Danish companies' flat and less hierarchial management structure is highly valued by employees.

Since 2003 an annual list of 100 Best Workplaces in Europe has been identified and published in leading national European magazines and newspapers. In 15 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the UK) a list of best workplaces has been produced, with companies on these lists then considered for inclusion on the European list.

The companies appearing on the national Best Workplaces lists in each of the 15 countries are evaluated against one another to select the 100 Best Workplaces in Europe. Great Place to Work® Institute Europe also recognizes the Best Workplaces according to Size, Industry and Special Awards.

The Great Place to Work® Europe Consortium (today, Great Place to Work® Institute Europe) was contracted by the European Commission to carry this initiative out in 2002-2003. Great Place to Work® Institute Europe continues to take the lead on this important work, and is proud to announce the list of 100 Best Workplaces in Europe.
