CBS, Økonomisk Institut ved Lektor Jimmy Martinez-Correa og kolleger har udarbejdet et arbejdspapir i  CEAR, Georgia State University med titlen Evaluating the Welfare of Index Insurance. Arbejdspapiret diskuterer (på engelsk) how index insurance was conceived to be a product that would simplify the claim settlement process and make it more objective, reducing transaction costs and moral hazard.
