Præsentation

Aixa is a PhD Fellow in Innovation Policy at the Department of Organization. She is interested in the intersection of science, technology and innovation; policy-making; and society. Her research examines US national STI strategies, focusing specifically on expertise and knowledges that produce nanotechnology policy. Her research interest include: the governance and organizing of socio-technical systems, the design of innovation policy, organizational strategies in science and technology, organizational behaviour, health policy as well as collaboration and integration in policy development processes.

She is currently member of the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S), the Science and Democracy Network (SDN), the American Sociological Association (ASA), the International Public Policy Association (IPPA), and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM).

For over a decade Aixa advised governments, legislative bodies and research groups at international and national levels on matters of public policy related to economic development, finance, housing, and health. She also consults with the WHO Regional Office for Europe on child and adolescent health. She holds Bachelor and Master degrees in public policy (University of Chicago, USA).
