My PhD project seeks to identify the affective-discursive teaching practices that govern the educational behavior and interests of girls in primary school.
The project has a specific focus on the subject of STEM and explores how we can design new teaching practices that can motivate more girls and young women to enter the educational field of STEM.
The project is based on theories on affect and discourse and includes analyses of the governing – and interacting – effects of language and materiality.
The PhD is part of the research project ‘Gendered formations of educational interests and aspirations in primary and secondary schooling’.
