Præsentation

Titled “Making markets for behavioral economic professional services”, my PhD proposes to investigate public organizations’ access to and use of external management consulting/professional services with a specific focus on behavioral economics as a consolidating field of professional expertise. The project inquires into the general use of management consulting in public policy, while also seeking to understand what behavioral expertise does and how it is involved in public service reforms, and how quasi-markets format the ways initiatives are designed and implemented.

Before coming to IOA I was part of the research project “Urban Green Communities” at the Department of Sociology (University of Copenhagen), looking into and digitally mapping new forms of green and environmental engagement across Danish cities (https://susy.ku.dk/research/urban-green-communities/).

I have special interest in the fields of science studies, organizational studies, sociology of professions and economic and political sociology. I work with quantitative and qualitative methodologies and I am particularly interested in digital methods within the social sciences, and how data infrastructures and computational methods can be, and are, leveraged in analytical and institutional settings.
