Brooke Harrington wins Academy of Management Award for research impact!

                                  Brooke Harrington

This award, from the main professional society for scholars of organizations and management, recognizes outstanding international collaborations between academics and external stakeholders, such as firms, governments and NGOs. Projects must  have achieved demonstrable, external impact to be nominated.

The judging panel describes Brooke Harrington’s work as outstanding on all characteristics, with a special commendation for international impact.  She was nominated by a multi-national group of scholars and public officials—including representatives of the EU Parliament, the US Internal Revenue Service, and the OECD—for using her research to advise lawmakers on how best to prevent tax fraud and the abuse of offshore financial centers.

An article based on this study has just been published in a leading organizations and management journal, Family Business Review.
