Shaping Markets: A Neoinstitutional Analysis of the Emerging Organizational Field of Renewable Energy in China

Fredag, 1 februar, 2013 - 13:00 to 17:00
With Shaping Markets, the author takes renewable energy in China as a micro laboratory for understanding the ways in which the Communist Party of China shapes markets in the interplay with companies. Through neoinstitutional lenses, the establishment of renewable energy is viewed as the emergence of an organizational field, and under particular scrutiny are the mechanisms which enabled the field creation. The dissertation addresses the lack of studies on the emergence of organizational fields, and points to recommendations on both company and policy level.
