Partner universities

The ABC network seeks to benefit from the complementary profiles of different research institutions. Each partner institution contributes with skills and competencies that advance the shared agenda.

Copenhagen Business School, University of Alberta and Harvard University are the founding members of the network while Boston College, WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, and Ecole des Mines de Paris have joined later.

Hosting a critical mass of researchers with an enduring interest in interpretive and processual aspects of institutional entrepreneurship, Copenhagen Business School is well positioned to lift the challenge of carving a new research niche within this area. Within Europe, WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and Ecole des Mines de Paris reinforce the European traditions.

On the other side of the Atlantic, the University of Alberta  employs what arguably constitutes the highest concentration of internationally recognized institutionalist researchers and, similarly, Harvard University hosts highly recognized institutionalists in organizational behavior and economic sociology. Similarly, highly accomplished researchers at Boston College complement the North-American traditions.
