Workshop on sustainable textile and fashion production

You are invited to take part in an interesting workshop focusing on Manufacture Copenhagen.

Friday, September 19, 2014 - 13:00 to 17:00

The workshop will focus on the topic of local textile and fashion production. In the workshop we will discuss and explore the creation of Manufacture Copenhagen and/or Manufacture Scandinavia, based on the model of Manufacture New York.

CEO and Founder of Manufacture NY, Bob Bland, and Co-Founder Amanda Parkes will kick off the workshop and is happy to share their business model as well as discuss how their experiences might inform local manufacturing in Copenhagen and/or Scandinavia.

Established in 2012, Manufacture New York is a New York City-based emerging fashion incubator + local manufacturing advocacy group that is partnered with the City of New York to create a 160,000 sf vertically-integrated, sustainable urban Manufacturing Innovation Center that combines emerging design support, workforce training, wearable tech R&D and affordable maker space for established artisans in one Brooklyn facility. This will be the first closed-loop fashion ecosystem optimized for reduced consumption, ethical & sustainable sourcing and transparency in the supply chain.

When: September 19th 2014, 13:00 - 17:00
Where: KEA, Guldbergsgade 29, 2200 København N
