CBS, KU and DTU launch cooperation on sustainability
We need new methods to ensure a sustainable society. Therefore CBS Sustainability Platform co-directed by professors Stefano Ponte and Mette Morsing have formed a partnership with Sustainability Science Center (KU) led by professor Katherine Richardson and Global Decision Support Initiative (DTU) directed by professor Michael Hauschild.
- It is becoming increasingly clear that ensuring social, environmental and financial sustainability will require new approaches to resource consumption, new business management methods, serious political commitment and new technological and scientific solutions, write the researchers behind the partnership.
Therefore researchers from the three centres have established the partnership Copenhagen Sustainability Initiative (COSI) to create a regional platform for sustainability in Copenhagen.
Cooperation across disciplines and universities
The new cooperation will be launched at an event Friday afternoon 28 November, where researchers from the three universities will give presentations on sustainability, followed by a panel discussion.
The aim of COSI is to create cooperation across research disciplines and universities, which in the end will contribute to green growth and other sustainable initiatives.
The cooperation will cover research, education and involvement in business community, civil society and the political system.
The launch event will be opened by Mette Morsing, Professor at CBS, followed by presentations of different approaches to sustainability by Michael Hauschild, Professor at DTU, Katherine Richardson, Professor at KU and Andreas Rasche, professor at CBS.
