06/08/2021

With the aim of driving innovation and enhancing the student’s remote learning experience, while keeping the value added of different educational approaches, a group of top European Universities and Business Schools has launched the “European Common Online Learning” (ECOL) network.

This initiative seeks to contribute to the European education system, underscoring the importance of building a common online curriculum that can be expanded and developed over time. Students from the network institutions can choose from a selection of online electives, giving them a unique opportunity for an international experience from home.

The eight top universities and business schools include:

  • Aalto University Business School
  • Bocconi University
  • Copenhagen Business School
  • Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management
  • Esade Business School
  • HEC Paris
  • University of St. Gallen
  • WU Vienna University of Economics and Business

CBS's Dean of Education Gregor Halff recently met with the Deans of the other ECOL institutions to discuss their lessons learnt during the pandemic crisis, the role of higher education in promoting the new EU principles and its contribution to achieving the goals of innovation, digitalisation, sustainability and inclusion, as well as the benefits of an European curricular integration. You can see the webinar by following this link.

Students enrolled at CBS, can see the online electives available for the fall semester 2021 at my.cbs.dk
