Cranet HRM Conference

On the agenda of this year's Cranet HRM Conference are the most topical issues in HR today. HR is not just something that goes on in the department and units. It is a managerial task and the responsibility of the entire organisation. This year's conference will thus focus on HR as an organisational discipline. Companies must adapt to market conditions and technology imposed by real life. This results in a demand of continuous innovation through co-creation of tools and services with internal customers. The conference aims to find out where HR is going and bridge the gap between research and practice. Throughout the day, there will be a mix of presentations and workshops.

At the end of the day, practitioners and researchers will initiate a dialogue. The participants are welcome to discuss and contribute with recent research and practice.

Global Maritime Trends

For the past decades, the maritime industry has had a field day within transportation and commerce. Two new problems have emerged, however, and may have a decisive impact on the positive development: The increased focus on sustainability combined with transportation costs and subsequently a change in the production of the global organisation, in which less offshoring might imply a decline in the use of maritime transportation. Martin Stopford and Martin Christopher, top researchers in shipping and logistics, respectively, will share their thoughts on where the maritime industry is going.

The event is organised by the CBS Competitiveness Platform and CBS Maritime. The event is free of charge. Please register before 18 September. Send an e-mail to: competitiveness@cbs.dk
