Latest research on Euroscepticism and a visit from the Danish Foreign Minister

Scepticism towards Europe is a familiar phenomenon among the citizens of the EU and all the more relevant in the present Brexit debate buzzing throughout the EU and the media. In late May the Danes will be voting in the elections to the European Parliament, which is why CBS, University of York and Think Tank Europa would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a mini conference to hear a number of academics present the latest research on Euroscepticism and discuss the future of the EU. Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen will describe his vision of the EU in the years to come.

Bekæmp myterne om køn til Kvindernes internationale kampdag på CBS

Fight gender myths on International Women's Day at CBS

Friday 8 March 2019, 13:30-18:00, Porcelænshaven 20, Ovnhallen, 2000 Frederiksberg

Join us in seeking solutions to how we can achieve gender equality on the Danish labour market. CBS has partnered up with KVINFO - the knowledge and information centre for gender, equality and diversity - for the celebrations on 8 March.

Speakers include Danish politician Sofie Carsten Nielsen from the Danish Social Liberal Party; Jeff Hearn, professor and gender researcher, Hanken School of Economics and Örebro Universitet; Sara Louise Muhr, professor, CBS; and Henriette Laursen, director, KVINFO.

Another highlight will be the interactive GenderLAB, where participants will put their heads together to find new solutions to various gender-related matters in Danish organisations such as the Danish Defence, Roskilde Festival and CBS.

The event will be held in English and Miriam Zesler from TV2 News is the moderator.

Ny tænketank om cirkulær økonomi inviterer politikere og erhvervsledere til debat

New circular economy think tank invites policy-makers
and the business community to a panel debate

Tuesday 12 March 2019, 15:00-17:00, Solbjerg Plads 3 (SPS02), 2000 Frederiksberg

What are the political ambitions for the circular economy and what are the implications for Danish businesses? In the light of the forthcoming general election in Denmark, CBS Circularity, the new think tank comprising a team of CBS researchers, would like to invite you to a debate involving panellists such as Ida Auken from Danish Social Liberal Party and representatives from the business community: Anders Bering, Vice President Corporate Affairs, Carlsberg, and Karin Klitgaard, Environment Policy Director, Confederation of Danish Industry.

Policy-makers agree that a circular economy is the answer to the ideal of generating economic growth while avoiding overconsumption of the Earth's resources. The panel would like to discuss, among other things, how the concept of the circular economy can be translated into practice in Denmark and what kinds of obstacles might be encountered on the way.

Copenhagen Strategy and Innovation Summit on
international challenges faced by Danish companies

Wednesday 13 March 2019, 13:30-19:00, Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg

What strategy and innovation challenges do Danish businesses experience internationally and how are they tackling them? Several researchers from CBS will present their latest research on strategy and innovation for Danish business leaders. Topics include "Danske Bank: What next after the Scandal", presented by Professors Bent Petersen and Michael Mol, and "High-skilled immigrants in entrepreneurship and innovation: Recent evidence" by researchers H.C. Kongsted, Valentina Tartari and Keld Lauersen.  

The event has been organised by CBS’ Department of Strategy and Innovation and Tatarklubben, a network for senior managers in Denmark.

A doctorate is the highest attainable academic degree. Come and meet Professor Robin Holt as he defends his doctoral thesis on the organisational "self". His work is a philosophical scrutiny of what it means to think about strategy as judgement, i.e. a process that is about shaping something – an organisational self.

Join us in discovering new approaches to the use of business data

Could we use data differently from the way we do today? This hackathon is hosted by the Department of Strategy and Innovation in collaboration with the company Ennova. For decades Ennova has been gathering and analysing data from different global companies and disseminating their findings to companies. This hackathon will seek to investigate how this data could be used in other interesting ways.
