CBS in August

There will be ‘big guns’ and new, young students to meet at CBS in August. The CEO of Zentropa, Peter Aalbæk-Jensen, and Danish boxer Mikkel Kessler will talk about the path to success, and a new crop of more than 3,000 students will participate in creative intro programmes.

Top economists gather in Copenhagen

At the end of August, Copenhagen will be populated with several prominent economists. For the second year in a row, the Centre for Financial Frictions at CBS will hold the conference, FRIC'14, where in excess of 100 economists will meet to discuss the latest research within financial challenges. The two professors in financing at CBS, David Lando and Lasse Heje Pedersen, are the forces behind the conference.

Meet Plummer, Aalbæk Jensen and Kessler

How do you achieve continuous success? Four 'big guns' will try to give their recipe for success during the lecture event "How to become part of the world elite". Meet Kenneth Plummer, ambassador for Danish Red Cross and chairman of the board for the user-paid education programmes CBS Executive; Peter Aalbæk Jensen, CEO and founder of the film company Zentropa; Mikkel Kessler, former world boxing champion, and Claus Bretton-Meyer, CEO of the Danish Football Association (DBU). CBS Executive and Danish Red Cross are the organisers of the event, and profits will go to the aid organisation.

More than 3,000 new students will be participating in intro programmes

3,057 new students will have their baptism of fire as bachelor programme students at CBS in August. By way of academic and social events, intro guides on 18 different intro programmes will make sure that new students get to know each other and CBS before the semester starts. A football tournament, camping, Tour de Campus and a canal tour are just a few of the many activities that have been arranged for the various intro programmes.
