CBS confers two new honorary doctorates in 2017

On Friday a professor from Indiana University and one from Georgia State University will be awarded honorary doctorates by CBS. Attend their inaugural lectures on the same day in behavioural economics and welfare economics and partnerships in complex organisations.

Friday March 24 CBS will name two researchers as honorary doctors, who have made remarkable contributions to research, dissemination and teaching. The honorary doctors will present their inaugural lectures successively and their honorary doctorates will be conferred afterwards at a reception.

The 2017 honorary doctors are:

OneAmerica Chaired Professor in Business Administration
Professor Marjorie A. Lyles is a professor of International Strategic Management and holds the OneAmerica Chaired Professorship in Business Administration at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Professor Lyles is a fellow of the Academy of International Business and of the Strategic Management Society, where she is the immediate Past-president. Professor Lyles is best known for her contributions to learning and knowledge management in organisations, international joint ventures, China, and emerging markets more generally.

Professor Marjorie Lyles is appointed by the Department of Strategic Management and Globalization.

Inaugural lecture: “Leveraging Partnerships in Complex and Changing Business Environments: The Role of Organizational Learning”

World-leading expert in Economics 
Professor Glenn W. Harrison is the C.V. Starr Chair in Risk Management and Insurance at Georgia State University. Harrison is a world-leading scholar in economics and a pioneer in the now well-established field of experimental economics. He is Director of the Center for the Economic Analysis of Risk at Georgia State University and also holds an honorary professorship at the University of Cape Town. 

Professor Glenn W. Harrison is appointed by Department of Economics.

The lectures will be followed by a reception outside the auditorium in the main foyer of Dalgas Have 15 from 11:15 to 12:30.
