Per Holten-Andersen

Per Holten-Andersen has served as president of CBS since January 2012 and is stepping down at his own request to spend more time with his family:

”I have had an amazing time at CBS. I have enjoyed being the president of one of the largest and best business schools. CBS is characterised by excellent teaching and research, dedicated employees and deeply committed and skilled students. I would like to thank everybody for the opportunity to work with you".

"CBS has been through a financial struggle, but our impact on society is being fully recognised internationally, politically and also by the business community. I see a great demand of what CBS can deliver and therefore also a bright future for CBS".

"Now it is time for me to focus a little more on my family. I am looking forward to that after a long professional life”.

Karsten Dybvad, Chairman of the CBS Board of Directors, regrets this decision, but has profound respect for the efforts of Per Holten-Andersen:

”Per has been an excellent president and has through his 7 years in the position helped stabilise CBS in the first instance and subsequently worked hard to improve the foundation of the university - with success. CBS is now progressing favourably and both the financial position and the organisation are under control. We can thank Per for that".

"The Board is now going to find a new president who can carry on the success of the university and ensure that CBS stays on a strong and positive track".

Per Holten-Andersen’s farewell reception will be held in December 2018.

The appointment committee and a process plan for the appointment of a new president will be announced on CBSShare in May.
