Re-enrolment to CBS

If you have been previously enrolled into a programme at CBS and would like to apply for re-enrolment so that you can finish the programme, please read here.

Re-enrolment to the same programme at CBS

For those who have been previously enrolled in a specific programme at CBS and wish to re-enrol to the same programme (and concentration / language if relevant) only. All other applicants who wish to transfer to, or within, CBS, must refer to our section below concerning transfer.

How to apply for re-enrolment:

  • Apply by 1st January 2018 for study start 1st September 2018. Answer: 22nd February 2018.
  • Apply by 1st August 2018 for study start 1st September 2018. Answer: if possible, will be sent before study start but unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Apply by 15th October 2018 for study start 1st February 2019. Answer: will be sent before study start.
  • Check that you have passed the 1st year of your programme’s current curriculum in the programme Rules and Regulations.
  • Fill out an Fileapplication form and send it by email to ae@cbs.dk. We will contact you by email if we need further information / documentation.

The conditions for re-enrolment are:

  • FORMALITIES: You adhere to the formalities surrounding the application (deadlines, documentation etc.); please note that if you are a non-EU/EEA citizen, you are to follow the general rules concerning payment of tuition fees.
  • FIRST YEAR: You have passed all the courses that are the equivalent of the 1st year of the degree programme in which you wish to be enrolled of the current curriculum.

Please be aware of the following:

  1. Re-enrolment is usually to the current study curriculum.
  2. If you withdrew yourself from your previous studies at CBS, the earliest you can be re-enrolled (if your application is approved) is 5 months after your withdrawal date.
  3. If less than 13 months have passed since you were withdrawn from CBS, you will keep the same original matriculation date in the system. You should be aware that this could influence your studies, especially with regards to the study reform changes, as you would still be bound by the timeframes given in the rules and regulations.
  4. If you have not passed the first year due to extreme circumstances (death in closest family, serious illness or similar), you can apply for dispensation from this rule. Dispensations are rarely granted and only in extreme circumstances, such as, for example, serious illness. Please remember to include documentation.

If you have any questions, please email ae@cbs.dk

Transfer

If you have previously passed courses at CBS, or another university, and would like to apply for transfer to a different programme at CBS, then please read here.

Transfer

If you have already passed many of the courses from one particular degree programme and would like to transfer over to the 2nd year of another academically related degree programme at CBS, you can consider applying to be directly enrolled into the programme's 2nd year.

How to apply for transfer:

  • Apply via Optagelse.dk by 15th March for study start 1st September.
  • Remember that all the formalities of the application process must be adhered to.
  • Check that you fulfil the current entry requirements for the programme. These must be fulfilled at the time of application.
  • Check that you have passed the 1st year of the programme’s current curriculum in the programme Rules and Regulations.
  • Fill out an FileApplication Form and upload it together with your application to Optagelse.dk.
  • Scan your documents (entry requirements, grade transcript of completed courses, registration of current courses, course descriptions for completed and current courses and application form) and upload them to your application at Optagelse.dk
  • Send an email to ae@cbs.dk to inform us that you have applied for transfer.
  • Answer: If you are offered a study spot at the end of July, your application for transfer to the 2nd year will be processed.

The conditions for transfer are:

  1. You adhere to the formalities surrounding the application (deadlines, documentation etc.); please note that if you are a non-EU/EEA citizen, you are to follow the general rules concerning payment of application fee and tuition fees.
  2. You fulfil all the entry requirements for the degree programme at the time of application.
  3. You have passed all the courses that are the equivalent of the 1st year of the degree programme in which you wish to be enrolled at the time of application (15th March).
  4. There are available places in the 2nd year of the degree programme (if there are available places but the number of applicants that fulfil the previous three requirements outnumber the places available, then only a certain number of applicants will be selected).

Please be aware of the following:

  • You may only apply for transfer to one programme/concentration.
  • Transfer is only once a year, application deadline 15th March for study start 1st September.
  • If you have not passed the first year due to unforeseen circumstances, you can apply for dispensation from this rule. Dispensations are rarely granted and only in extreme circumstances, such as, for example, serious illness. Please remember to include documentation.
  • When comparing your courses to the CBS 1st year courses of the relevant programme/concentration, pay special attention to the number of ECTS-points for each course and the course contents.
  • Bear in mind that it can be very difficult to find an exact match between the curriculum of your current programme and the CBS programme. You therefore run the risk of extending the time it takes to complete a bachelor degree if your application for transfer is successful and you switch from a different university to CBS.
