A CBS book shows that Teknologisk Institut (Danish Technological Institute) has great influence on the development of Danish businesses.

On the occasion of the 100-year anniversary of Danish Technological Institute the researchers Steen Andersen og Søren Federspiel from Center for Business History at CBS have written “New thinking for 100 years”, focusing on the development of the institute.

During the early part of the previous century technological development caught on full force and became a threat to handicraft and smaller industries. This lead to the creation of the Technological Institute in 1906, in order to strengthen industries by providing knowledge and access to new and advanced technology.

The book claims that we need a national strategy for coping with the challenges of globalization in the future, which requires a technology policy, which dares to combine advanced knowledge with an actual practical product-oriented approach.

The book is published by Lindhardt og Ringhof and will be received by Her Majesty The Queen at a major anniversary celebration at Technological Institute on September 12th 2006.

CBS Center for Business History commenced collaboration with the Technological Institute in September of 2004. At the moment the Center is working on two projects for “Force Technology” and “Kornerup”.
