PhD defence: Maitane Elorriaga Rubio

In order to obtain the PhD degree, Maitane Elorriaga Rubio has submitted her thesis entitled: The Behavioral Foundations of Strategic Decision-Making: A Contextual Perspective

Monday, September 10, 2018 - 13:00 to 15:00

The main aim of this dissertation is to shed light on the contextual aspects that intervene with achieving strategically key behavioral outcomes in decision-making. Specifically, the thesis focuses on information-related aspects (types of information and processing). Each of the chapters constitutes an independent empirical study exploring one of the following behaviors which are of wide interest to organizations: the willingness to make brand-new partnerships, risk-taking, and decision-making performance. From a multi-disciplinary perspective, the dissertation contributes to general and strategic management as well as the field of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, it complements and moves forward the novel framework of Behavioral Strategy.
