In order to obtain the PhD degree, Lasse Bundgaard has submitted his thesis entitled: Public Private Innovation Partnerships: Creating Public Value & Scaling Up Sustainable City Solutions

Friday, September 17, 2021 - 10:00 to 12:00

Lasse

As cities increasingly focus on becoming sustainable, they rely on tools such as public private innovation partnerships to help realise new solutions. This dissertation explores the outcomes of these projects by focusing on how such solutions scale up and create public value. By drawing on cases from Copenhagen and beyond, it attempts to answer the main research question: What outcomes do public private innovation partnerships lead to? Through three individual articles, this thesis contributes to the ongoing debates within the literature on the governance of smart cities, public value theory and public private innovation partnerships.
