Professor Ad de Jong joins the Department of Marketing

I am very happy to announce that Dr. Ad de Jong joins our faculty as Professor of Marketing. Ad previously was Professor of Marketing at Aston Business School. He achieved his M.Sc. in Psychometrics at the University of Leiden, and he was awarded his Ph.D. in Marketing from the School of Economics & Business Administration at the University of Maastricht. Ad is widely published including in journals such as Management Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Management, Journal of Retailing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Management Studies, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, British Journal of Management, Decision Sciences, and Marketing Letters. He serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Service Research and Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management.

In terms of research, Ad focuses on (1) sales innovation, (2), service marketing, (3) front-line marketing, (4) front-line sales/service teams, and (5) marketing research methods (multivariate statistics, such as multilevel regression analysis, multilevel growth modeling, PLS, and data exploration). In terms of teaching, he has taught numerous Ph.D. courses on topics such as (1) data exploration, (2) multiple regression analysis, (3) multilevel regression analysis, (4) how to position your paper, (5) how to respond to referee reports, and (6) factor analysis.
